Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2- UA Court Street 12
Mike: I had an afternoon off so I went to see this by myself. I raced my bike to the theater and was about 10 minutes late. Then someone who couldn't make up their mind was in front of me in line, and I was certain that I'd miss the first few minutes of the movie. Turned out not to be the case. I ran up the 5 million escalators and into the auditorium to find that a trailer was still playing. Amazing! But then another played. And another. And a few more. I guess they started the movie very, very late.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've seen all of the Twilight movies now. I rented the first one out of curiosity. I like to have my finger on the pulse of what's going on, what kids are into nowadays. As expected, it sucked. Then I watched the next one in an airplane - I think I was flying from Africa and had a long, long plane ride, so I figured I'd watch the second one to kill some time, and because I had seen pretty much everything else already. For the third one, I was on a plane from Europe. I didn't like any of them, but I was (again) curious to see what Bill Condon would do with the franchise and bought a ticket to Breaking Dawn Part 1. No surprise, I didn't care for it. And with just one left, I wanted to see what happened and how the story ended. And while it didn't make up for the previous four films, Breaking Dawn Part 2 was by far the best and most entertaining film of the series. I actually liked it!
